HIGH PRESSURE DIE CASTING (HPDC) SOLUTIONS

High pressure die casting is a foundry process in which molten metal is injected under high pressure through a feed channel into a securely locked mold, where it is held by a powerful press until the metal solidifies. Low pressure casting is a foundry process that occurs by applying a pressure in which the molten metal rises through an ascending tube from the furnace into the mold, where solidification occurs. The parts obtained in this type of process have excellent mechanical characteristics, excellent dimensional accuracy, excellent surface finish, great metallurgical yield, and allow a simpler process in the finishing operations.

Gravity casting is a foundry process in which molten metal is poured through a feed channel into a mold (Mould). The mold filling is maintained only by the force of gravity exerted on the massalotte that feeds the part during the solidification process. The parts obtained in this type of process have excellent mechanical characteristics and dimensional tolerances, excellent metallurgical yield, but require a more complete process in the finishing operations.
